Old Fashioned Soft Sugar Cookies

Earlier I posted our favorite family recipe for Frosted Sugar Cookies.  This recipe is for a soft sugar cookie and is fantastic sprinkled with sugar.
Ingredients

2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups shortening
6 eggs
2 cups sour milk
8 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
2 tsp nutmeg
4 tsp baking powder
